Have you ever wanted cross stitch patterns based on Evil Dead II?

Well, this is a unique project, if I say so myself!

Source Point Press has launched a 30-day program Kickstarter for Evil Dead II – The Book of the Thread, an officially licensed cross stitch book that features 20 patterns based on the cult classic from 1987. The designs were created by Rebecca Martz-Burley of Demon Monkey Craft as well as illustrator Teri Heidemeyer. The design, layout and illustrations were done by Joshua Werner.

Burley, who is known for her horror-influenced cross stitch art, says: “I knew I could do more, but I had to push myself to do a lot better and to think bigger. And it is the fruit of this work.

Source Point Press editor-in-chief Travis McIntire adds: “While going through our submissions and idea presentations last year, we came across Rebecca Martz-Burley’s email and she sent us something really different. After Josh and I saw his work and decided to reduce the horror to Evil Dead II, we hired the studio and the ball really started to roll quickly from there.

Werner expands on this by saying: “Working with Rebecca has been amazing. His mind is a factory of great ideas, and our love and passion for horror and the Evil Dead franchise have come together to make a book that we are truly proud of. This book is for fans of Evil Dead II. Even if they’ve never done cross stitch in their life, they’ll have fun learning the craft with this book and creating some badass Evil Dead II artwork along the way.
